Alert Taxis has approximately 260 drivers with double shift vehicles, plus an additional 60 drivers who operate the company vans for the Air New Zealand cabin crews.
We have a mixture of owner /drivers, who own their own car and business, and the company employs around 75 drivers itself.
Our drivers are very well trained, and boast a range of languages for your convenience. We have Korean speaking drivers, Somalian, Pacific Islanders, Maoris, Dutch, Irish, Chinese, etc. Our drivers are excellent, we have a great team. They are proud of the Alert brand, and it is our job to keep that pride up there and keep them happy.
To this end, the driver that did so well on TV3's Target show has been well rewarded by Alert. He is going out in our newsletter and we are awarding him a gift, along with a lot of praise. And the results of Target's undercover investigation into Auckland's taxis has made the drivers feel good, they feel proud that Alert rated the highest out of the 10 companies investigated. As far as Alert is concerned, if the drivers feel good, then that goodness will ooze out into the customers.
